First, make sure that you are writing the proper kind of file for the flavor of SAS you are using and that you are transporting the file properly. Then check our website to see if there is a problem that has already been fixed. If you think you have discovered a new problem, please let us know about it so we can fix it.
In the meantime, you can always use the Stat/Transfer output option “SAS Program + ASCII Data File” and then use the generated SAS program to read the ASCII data file into SAS.
