1) Create an empty file, called "st_global.ini" either in the directory where the site license is stored or in the directory where the executable is located - StatTransfer will check those locations sequentially; This file keeps global settings.
2) To disable checks for updates for all users - put a new line in the file"installer_name=none" - nobody will be able to check for updates, StatTransfer will ignore the scheduled checks for updates too
So entry in the file should look like this:
[Gen_Pref]
installer_name=none

How to disable the "Check for Updates" for all users on a workstation for Linux stat/transfer Version 16?
The trick with:
"
1) Create an empty file, called "stattransfer16g" either in the directory where the site license is stored or in the directory where the executable are located - StatTransfer will check those locations sequentially; This file keeps global settings.
2) To disable checks for updates for all users - put a new line in the file"installer_name=none" - nobody will be able to check for updates, StatTransfer will ignore the scheduled checks for updates too
So entry in the file should look like this:
[Gen_Pref]
installer_name=none
"
does not work on my Linux-Multiuser system.
